The Chu River that runs near the capital city of Bishkek is the most popular river for rafting tours in Kyrgyzstan. The river flows at over 1,500meter elevation and the best season for a river rafting trip is from June to mid-September, when the water temperature fluctuates between 15-18 degrees Celsius. Part of the river runs through Boom Gorge, which is known throughout Central Asia to be the best training site for rafting. The river has easier access compared to other rivers and more manageable rapids. The most common tours last for 1-2 days, but longer ones that include several different rivers can be arranged. Brief description:Brief description: The most interesting, dynamic and most dangerous white water rafting section of the Chui River, Boom Canyon is indeed a national white water arena (150km from Bishkek). It is the best in the Central Asia. Here, among the rough rapids and huge rocks, even the craziest adventurer will get a maximum doze of adrenaline. River difficulty is Class IV – VI.
09:00. Meeting with the transport, pack and transfer to Boom Valley (100 km)
11:00. Meet up with the guide and explanation.
14:00 Drive back to Bishkek, lunch at local restaurant.
15:00 City tour around Bishkek (Central Square Ala Too, Statue of Manas & Lenin, 2nd World War Memorial, Museum of Art.
17:00. Finish. Transfer to Bishkek
Equipment:Participants must have their equipment such as waterproof clothes, desirable to have a changing and warm clothes.
Physical requirements: Participants must be in good physical condition, but don't need any special skills of Rafting.
